Christmas in Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury at Christmas twinkles in an array of great shopping, sumptious dining and classic entertainment - from the start of late night shopping on 23rd November, to sing along Carols in The Square, festive markets and pantomime highlight this year –Aladdin.

The medieval town centre is a treasure chest of independent boutique shops, little gems tucked away in small streets and passageways, offering imaginative options for that special Christmas present. There are also famous High Street names and two covered malls, The Pride Hill & Darwin Shopping Centres plus The Parade, specialist shopping arcade converted from the 19th century Royal Salop Infirmary.

Shrewsbury has a traditional Market Hall too with classic festive treats and local produce from the surrounding Shropshire countryside – from the smoked salmon starter, the roast turkey mains to the cheese course and chocolates – its all available from stall holders who really know their produce, value the customer and know how to get the best out of the season’s food.

Shopmobility operates from Raven Meadows Multi Storey Car Park offering wheelchairs and scooters to hire. With lifts from the covered car parking directly into the Darwin Shopping Centre, and thence into the main shopping streets it’s an easy way for anyone to access Shrewsbury for Christmas shopping.
